Summary :-
When I attempt to open a recording for playback the following error message is displayed:
“An error has occurred launching the open dialog. If restarting TheRecord Player does not fix the problem, then please uninstall and reinstall TheRecord Player. (0xE0D2A00A)”
Technical Details :-
This error may be caused by a corruption in the file SearchFolders.xml located in C:\FTRSettings\FTR\Navigator
This file stores search folders that you previously configured from the Open Dialog. If the file is corrupted, the Open dialog will not open.
Solution : -
1. Close TheRecord Player.
2. Rename SearchFolders.xml as OldSearchFolders.xml
3. Restart the player.
4. When the player restarts, you are prompted to add a search folder. Add one of the previously configured search folders.
5. Click open from the player.
If the Open dialog is now displayed then OldSearchFolders.xml is most likely corrupt. Do the following:
1. Delete the file.
2. Re-add the remaining search folders you previously configured.
If the Open dialog still fails to be displayed then do the following:
1. Re-install TheRecord Player.
2. When prompted to add search folders, add the previously configured search folders.
3. Delete OldSearchFolders.xml
