Software Version: FTR Gold Reporter A/V Edition Version 5.2
Player version 5.3b70-5.4.1
Windows XP SP3 for all machines

Having an issue where the video will go black on the recording machine during recording and any other machines watching the hearing will loose both audio and video. After the recording is stopped the remote viewers can then hear the audio but never get the video portion. The recording computer has audio the whole time but drops the video. After the recording has been started again the video will come back and everything seems to work fine. There seems to be no pattern as to why this occurs. The recordings are on a local server shared and accessed through a UNC path. These are being accessed by the players during the hearing on other machines. So the recording machine is recording to its own hard drive and backing up to the server share at the same time. Hope this was enough info for a possible resolution. Thanks.

Hi Jim,

What video capture card are you using?
Do you have multiple Machines with this same card and this is the only one with issues?

The most likely cause for this is that the video card is being lost on the system and recorder is losing its connection to the card or it could just be a faulty video capture card or a loose cable if it is a USB capture device

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the quick response. I believe it is a Dazzle that was supplied by the reseller. It is USB if I recall correctly. We only have one other machine at this time that has the same setup and it has had this issue in the past but is not currently being utilized.
